“ We had foragers canteen cater our wedding in Whittier and were so happy with their service! Due to circumstances surrounding hurricane Helene we had to find a different caterer a month before our wedding. Foragers Canteen was our saving grace! They handled everything amazingly, especially considering the short notice! They provided passed appetizers for cocktail hour and all of the cutlery and dishes we needed for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing! They were very accommodating to even our vegan guests with their options! We are so grateful they were able to step in and make our dream wedding happen! If you are thinking about them for catering any kind of event we can’t recommend them more! ”
“ We visited Foragers Restaurant and Bar in Sylva during a trip to WCU and had an absolutely fantastic experience - definitely a 5-star spot! The restaurant is beautiful, with a rustic-chic vibe that’s warm, welcoming, and clearly well thought out. Our server shared that they recently moved to this location because they’d outgrown the previous space - and it shows in all the best ways. It’s clear the owners have poured their hearts (and some serious investment!) into creating a space that feels special. The customer service was top-notch, and the food? Incredible. I don’t know if it was officially farm-to-table, but it certainly tasted like it. The eggs were some of the best I’ve had in ages, the bacon was perfectly crisp and full of flavor, the omelet was mouthwatering, and the potatoes - oh my heavens - I could have eaten a whole pound of them. I’ll be back next time I’m in town. If I could give Foragers a 10, I would! ”
“ We were traveling from NY and randomly saw the place and stopped for a lunch. As New Yorkers we are hard to please with food usually, but this place passed our expectations! We got black rock beef medallions and fish tacos. ”

“ Great location in Sylva, NC and the perfect spot after a hike on a pinnacle Mountain The atmosphere is great , the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the food they serve . I was seated promptly and you could tell this place is where it’s at around there They have a fun and very nice menu , lots of choices without going too many . I had the Reuben and it was spectacular and I highly recommend their collard greens , I have never had collards that were a lil spicy and I loved them. The decor is kind of a wood Cham , that as a person I go loves to hike and loves the mountains , I felt at home I only wish I had went outside and sat by the water I also did not try their huge selection of drafts but there will be a next time for sure The only complaint I have and this is just me but parking is not that much however there are many places around town to park and all are easy walking distance to here ”
“ We rode the train on Valentine’s Day to Dillsboro. We got lunch first thing off the train. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They asked when we had to board to leave to make sure there was time for lunch. I forgot my readers, I asked our server if the had any. Luckily there were some that had been left. My husband and I both opted for tacos. I got the steak and he got pork. We tried sweet potato tater tots and loved them! The food was delicious. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area hiking or kayaking. There’s a patio by the river for outdoor seating. I didn’t ask about dog friendly but the website says they are for outdoor seating. ”
